I love the gentle eye on this horse. Seems the bigger the horse, the more gentle they can be and if you have ever been around small horses, some of them are downright ornery, maybe a defense mechanism to account for their size.This painting has a warm glow to it and I had fun exploring the colors in the shadows. It is another in the miniseries, "Heads Up!, which focuses on the ever expressive eyes, ears and head of the horse.
